Guess what finally came!!

After Daddy left for work today, he gave us a call and said "Queenie's had her baby". The connection wasn't very good so we all thought- ah ha very funny Dad. He wasn't kidding!!!! We all loaded in the car and headed that way with lots of shrieks and "oh my goodness". The Baby girl was already walking and seemed real spunky and Queenie looked just fine. Queenie was too excited for more than letting me petting her head before she took off with her baby. We pushed her and the baby back to the corrals and penned them up. Queenie has no problem with us petting her or the baby. She is also doing really well about the baby nursing as some mares are really ticklish and won't let the baby nurse.

As I said, Queenie is really relaxed with having us around (well, as relaxed as a new horse momma :)) until the daddy, Buck, arrived to take a look. She got a little more antsy but is still nice to us.

We are all bummed that we weren't able to watch the foaling but with this cute new baby- who could stay bummed for long???

Sarah is still unsure of what to name her, so I will post that later.
